The wave of reaction to yesterday’s news that Johnny Manziel, after leading the Cleveland Browns to victory last Sunday, is being replaced by Josh McCown has essentially subsided. At this point, there’s no sense in still getting worked up about it if you felt Manziel should get the nod Sunday. It is what it is, and it’s time to move forward.
While the aforementioned advice is essentially aimed at fans upset with the decision, I hope Manziel heeds it as well. It’s easy for him to be let down by being sent back to second string, but the best thing he can do from here out is learn from this.
