We’re officially a little over 24 hours away from the NFL Draft, so in terms of league news, it’s the last chance to mine for any and all rumors being tossed around about potential plans. One of the popular teams many people continue to talk about is the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns are armed with the No. 12 and No. 19 picks in the first round. For a team with plenty of holes to fill, some believe they’ll stand pat and utilize both selections. Others think the picks will be used as ammunition to trade up and try to snag quarterback Marcus Mariota. Cleveland’s front office, for the most part, is keeping the cards close to the vest, allowing nothing more than typical smoke screens to leak out.
However, we may have stumbled upon our very first rumor with substance this morning. According to Pat McManamon of ESPN, the Browns have apparently talked to the Tennessee Titans about trading up to the No. 2 pick. Cleveland is rumored to have offered their two first rounders with hopes it would allow them to move up and select Mariota.
