It’s Draft Day. Spoiler alert: things are about to get really crazy. So, since insanity was already on the agenda today, let’s get right to it.
Despite the Cleveland Browns reportedly failing to acquire quarterback Sam Bradford from the St. Louis Rams. Despite the fact the now-Philadelphia Eagles QB apparently has zero intention on re-signing with the Browns if they were to once again try to trade for him. Despite the fact Bradford is coming off tearing his left ACL for the second time. Despite all of this, Cleveland is rumored to still be pursuing Bradford.
According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, Cleveland “believes it has a good chance before the draft to deal for Bradford.” Is it a smokescreen? It sure could be, but we won’t know for sure until something truly develops.
The real question, though, is would this be a smart move for the Browns?
Absolutely not. I cannot stress this enough.
