In Cleveland, it’s never too early to speculate on coaching changes. Heck, with the Cleveland Browns, you can start speculating midway through a new coach’s introductory press conference just who will end up taking his job in two years or less. The second the team starts under-performing – likely in Week 1 – fans start hoping Jon Gruden can be convinced to leave ESPN, or they hear from a friend of a friend that Bill Cowher is house-hunting in Strongsville.
Since Cleveland is currently 2-9 and just five games away from ending this dud of a season, coaching rumors again are in full swing. And, my goodness, are they just as crazy as ever.
