At surface level, it’s tough to find too many complaints about how this season has started for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After losing the first game of the year, the Cavs ripped off eight straight victories. Forward Kevin Love has been looking comfortable and significantly contributing. LeBron James is proving he still has plenty left in the tank. Meanwhile, all of the wins occurred while two of the team’s top players – Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert – were out.
A double-overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks over the weekend snapped the streak, but at 8-2, clearly Cleveland is playing great basketball, right?
Not if you ask James, who was less than subtle in his evaluation of where his team stands during Saturday’s post-game media session.
