Vintage Cleveland Browns.
That’s all I could think as I watched the team lose a close game the only way it knows how to lose a close game; with a major blunder.
How else could you recap what just happened? The Browns had valiantly marched down the field to tie the San Diego Chargers with a touchdown and two-point conversion with a couple minutes to spare. Josh McCown, who spent an entire week being criticized for not being named Johnny Manziel, performed well throughout the day, especially on the game-tying drive. All Cleveland’s defense had to do was hold strong against San Diego and force overtime.
Instead, the Browns’ D, which has been awful to say the least this season, let the Chargers waltz all the way down the field to set up the game-winning field goal. However, San Diego’s kicker Josh Lambo missed wide right. Great news for Cleveland, right?
