MLB Rumors: Cleveland Indians in the Market for a Michael Bourn Replacement

The All-Star break is officially behind us, as the second half of the MLB season kicks off tonight. Across the entire league, there are a handful of teams who are trying to rebound from an underwhelming start to the year.

The Cleveland Indians are definitely one of these teams. They’re also a club many are keeping an eye on as the trade deadline nears.

I noted earlier this week it’s much more likely the Indians sell instead of buy at the deadline. That said, if there’s a potential upgrade to be found on the market, one which won’t require selling the farm, you can bet Cleveland will be intrigued.

While there haven’t been any rumors of significance just yet, the common thought process around the league is that the Tribe may be on the hunt for some outfield help. Specifically, Cleveland may be trying to find someone who can replace a player that was once a marquee signing for the team, but is now bottoming out like there’s no tomorrow.
