Just minutes before kickoff, running back Trey Johnson, wideout Jack Tremblay and injured quarterback Brennan Stolarek huddled for a pregame prayer.

The three seniors spent the season guiding a young Lincoln-Way East football team through endless adversity, just one year after dealing with all the hurdles COVID-19 threw their way.
