There’s a reason NBA pundits weren’t too high on the Cleveland Cavaliers’ championship hopes coming into this postseason. Despite the fact they were the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Cavs just appeared too vulnerable, often looking like a disjointed team more often than not.
Nobody really thought this apparent vulnerability would cost Cleveland in its opening round series with the Detroit Pistons. That said, for more than a few reasons, you certainly had a sense the Pistons were going to go down swinging.
