When his tenure as new Cleveland Cavaliers coach got off to a hot start, it was assumed Tyronn Lue was easily going to turn the team around. The Cavs spent the first half of the season winning, but doing so without really impressing anyone. As a result, the team ended up firing coach David Blatt and promoting Lue.
Cleveland responded to this move with a 5-1 start in Lue’s first six games. Though there were a few bumps along the road, it sure seemed like Lue might be able to get the most out of these players.
However, last night proved not only is there still work for Lue to do, he now also has to deal with one of his first major challenges on the job.
