Quarterback Johnny Manziel has been a hot topic with the Cleveland Browns throughout the past week.
He displayed a tale of two halves in the team’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Thursday, looking competent in the first half and completely deflated in the second. Despite clamors from many fans and media members – myself included – begging for coach Mike Pettine to let Manziel start the rest of the year, he instead is still trying to get veteran Josh McCown back on the field. This certainly led many to believe the Browns coaching staff just doesn’t see Manziel as the answer at quarterback.
Based on today’s story from Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, not only is Manziel still not winning favor from the coaches, he might also be on borrowed time with the Browns.
