Lost in all the craziness stirred up by Johnny Manziel bringing the Cleveland Browns their first victory of the year yesterday was yet another development with Tristan Thompson.
Per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the reason you haven’t heard too much regarding the current contract standoff between Thompson and the Cleveland Cavaliers is, basically, nothing has changed. Thompson still thinks he’s a max player, asking for $94 million from the Cavs. Likewise, the team feels its initial $80 million offer – still a significant raise – is fair market value. The $14 million gap remains, and neither side is looking to budge.
